Loved the food. The waiter answered questions and helped with food sensitivities. You can watch the cooks through a window looking into the kitchen. Extra rice was also provided!

We were struggling for vegetarian food in NOLA. This was a godsend for us. We had dinner twice and lunch once here. Food tastes very authentically Indian - we loved everything that we ordered, nothing felt bland - it was perfection and something I needed as an Indian on a long overseas trip. Atmosphere and ambience are great with some lovely modern Indian inspired art. Service was excellent and attentive with food arriving shortly after ordering. Would highly recommend.

INCREDIBLE. The drinks are amazing. The mango mojito was basically an alcoholic mango lassi that dangerously does not taste alcoholic. The special old fashioned (cannot remember the name) is the first old fashioned that I actually liked. It was smooth and flavorful and did not have a bite! The jackfruit biryani was full of flavor and well rounded. The tandoori chicken tikki was good, but didn’t wow me. But the garlic naan was one of the best I have ever had. It was light, crispy, and aromatic. We had the mango ice cream pop and it was a great sweet finish to the end of the meal. I will be dreaming about this place!

We liked this place so much that we came two nights in a row! We were traveling for three weeks and were seriously craving good Indian food, and this completely hit the spot. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Spice levels were perfectly balanced, and every dish tasted incredibly fresh. Special shoutout to the malabar fish curry and chole bhature - chef’s kiss. We tried their specialty cocktails and they were exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a warm, stylish ambiance that makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, if you’re visiting New Orleans, this is an absolute must-visit.

A must-visit spot if you're in NOLA! Authentic Indian food made with recipes that originate from the birthplaces of these dishes. Century-old recipes come to vibrant life here and tingle your taste buds with just the right amount of spice, exploding with the kind of flavor you didn't know you were craving! The staff is very welcoming, want and quick to cater to your needs. The owner, Aman, was the star of our evening! He customized my mango lassi Pina colada with green Chile water and made my evening! The new Mexican in me was revived in NOLA 😅🤤! We ordered kadai paneer and bullet naan, both of which were super delicious in terms of flavor, freshness, and satiety! The peri peri cauliflower was also a dynamite hit! If you have the appetite, don't miss out on pani puri and biryani! Both Chicken biryani (I recommended it to a foreign tourist sitting next to me, and he absolutely loved it) or jackfruit biryani are a must-try!!! If you're looking for Indian food, a healthier option, or a break from the fried beignets or the abundance of sweet treats available on the street, you must go here! It'll not only be a feast for your stomach but also for your eyes, nose, and tongue!

Very nice atmosphere. Service was great. I ordered wrong for my palate, but I could tell that it was a great dish for someone else. Pani Poori as everyone else has said was fantastic. The 2 different waters was a nice addition.

It's been awhile since I've experienced such good food and amazing service at a restaurant! The vibe, the service, and the food was top tier! We ordered Pani Poori, Shrimp Tandoori, Jackfruit Biryani, Garlic Naan, and Ankara Chicken. The food tasted fresh and super flavorful. We absolutely loved everything we ordered. The Shrimp Tandoori was on another level! We can't wait to go back!

Stopped by Lufu Indian Cuisine during a recent trip to New Orleans and it was a fantastic find. The Dahi Ke Kabab (At French Quarter Location) was a great start — soft, flavorful, and well-prepared. But the real standout was the Palak Paneer — it had this beautiful smoky flavor that completely elevated the dish. Honestly one of the best versions I've had. I also checked out their other restaurant location and tried the Pani Puri, Chole Bhature, and Sabudana Vada. Every single item delivered. The Chole Bhature was hearty and satisfying, the Pani Puri had that perfect tangy kick, and the Sabudana Vada was crispy and done just right. What really set the experience apart was the people. From the front desk staff to the servers, everyone brought great energy. The vibe of the place was soothing and welcoming — the kind of spot where you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. If you're in New Orleans and craving authentic Indian food, Lufu Indian Cuisine is a must-visit. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Spice, spice, baby — and a waiter who told me to chill out I'll admit it: I spent the whole meal trying to rush our waiter. He just smiled and said, "No, that's okay. It's completely customary to come to a restaurant and chill out. You don't have to rush." My wife loved every second of it — finally, someone other than her telling me to slow down. About the food — spice, spice, baby. You will not get a dull dish here. If you're the kind of person who cooks chicken breasts with just salt and pepper and calls it dinner, this place isn't for you. For everyone else, it's a flavor playground. What we ordered: Appetizers: Crispy cauliflower, marinated chicken thighs (delicious), garlic naan, and another chicken thigh dish whose name is escaping me Mains: Saoji Goat and Angara Chicken — both excellent Drinks: I was in lager heaven. Stuck with lagers all night and they paired perfectly with my lamb dish Dessert: Weird. Skip it or go in open-minded Warm, unhurried service, mains that actually delivered, and a vibe that makes you slow down whether you want to or not. We'll be back.

We just had an outstanding meal at Lufu! The service was excellent from start to finish. We ordered the Mango Lassis, Pani Puri, Garlic Naan, Kadhai Paneer, and Angara Chicken, and every dish was packed with flavor. The chicken was incredibly tender, and everything was absolutely drool-worthy. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. If you’re local and haven’t had the chance to try Lufu yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!
